LOOKS
Eddie is of average height, with a slim-but-not-underweight build. He's not an athlete but his musical ability suggests his strength lies in his arms and hands for holding and playing his chosen instrument. His hair trends wavy/curly in texture and he wears it at shoulder length, with a fringe across his forehead. He commonly dresses in graphic tees, ripped jeans, and boots; he often accessorizes the outfit with a denim vest over a leather jacket. Style and appearance wise he mimics the heavy metal scene of the 1980s, fitting with his own musical ambitions.

PERSONA
Eddie is, in a word, the outcast. He's the rebel in a town that wants conformity; he's the metalhead in a pop world. He's the loser who's repeated his senior year several times; he's the drug dealer who everyone knows is going nowhere fast. He's the guy who gets beat up in the hallways, the easy target for the jocks and the popular kids.
He's also the guy who deliberately makes himself the target, so those popular kids will leave the other nerds alone.
Eddie's not the kind of guy who would call himself any kind of hero. He's just a guy trying to get through his latest attempt at his senior year, trying to make enough money to get out of Hawkins and head out to California. He has a dream to be a rockstar, and he believes he has the skill to get there. He just needs a little more cash, and if that means dealing drugs, well, someone's gotta do it, right?
But while he's here, may as well enjoy himself doing what he loves. His music of course, though there aren't many people in his life who appreciate heavy metal. He also loves Dungeons and Dragons, leading a school club focused around the game; he gets invested in the storytelling and weaving the adventure around his players. He's a deeply creative individual; unfortunately his reputation works against him to the point that some in Hawkins paint him as a devil worshipper and believe far too easily that he's a murderer.
The part he doesn't really show to the world is how much he cares. He's been hurt far too much by the people in his life who were supposed to care about him; it's made him guarded and protective of himself and his feelings. He can be prone to jealousy. He uses teasing and his own radical behavior not just to set himself apart, but also to give himself the safety of that distance; if no one gets too close, then they can't hurt him. He has a hard time admitting his own feelings — and admitting when he's wrongly judged someone. But he does have a tender side; certain people and situations bring it out more readily, especially one-on-one, and we see that deep down he really does care about making sure people are comfortable around him.

ABILITIES
MUSICIAN
Eddie is a skilled guitarist, to the point that he could have been a professional. He played guitar with his band Corroded Coffin through his middle and high school career. He's shown to be able to play music by Metallica; specifically the song Master of Puppets. That particular song was released March 2, 1986 and Eddie canonly performed it on March 27, 1986, giving the implication that he learned the tune by ear in under three weeks.
DUNGEON MASTER
Eddie runs Dungeons & Dragons campaigns for a group of friends he calls the Hellfire Club. While he markets the activity as a gathering of "freaks" and openly mocks newspaper articles calling out D&D as satanic worship, in reality he makes the club a welcoming place for those who don't fit in with the jocks or the cool clique. He shows great creativity in thinking up the storylines for the group's campaigns — and the potential twists and turns therein — as well as delivering the story beats with a dramatic flare that draws his players into the narrative.
HOTWIRING CARS
At a young age, Eddie learned to hotwire cars from his father, a man who had fallen into thievery. While not the most legal or upstanding of skills, Eddie does employ his ability to lend aid to his friends while on the run from the law himself.
PREFS & PERMS
BACKTAGGING: Yes; I'm a perpetually slow tagger and live off of backtagging. I do tend to drop threads when life gets busy — it's not you, it's me. If I've dropped something you're into, let me know and chances are I'm willing to pick it back up or at least hash out a summary of what would have happened.
THREADJACKING: If it makes sense (i.e., a "public" thread, not locked to certain characters), absolutely go for it.
4TH WALLING: For characters where this is a canon ability (i.e., Deadpool), go for it. Otherwise, nope.
TAGGING STYLE: I tend to default to prose when starting threads but will match your preference.
TRIGGERS: Ask before severe trauma; Eddie's canon deals with a lot of it but sometimes you're just not in the headspace to thread it out.
CANON TRIGGERS: Oh man there's a lot here. I feel like if you're already familiar with Stranger Things you know what you're getting into but if you're not, suffice it to say that a lot of what Eddie witnesses can fall into the category of extreme body horror/mutilation. I try not to go there in threads without at least a warning because we're all here for pretendy funtimes but if you want to go there — or if I have strayed there and you're not comfortable — please just say something and we'll make sure we can both stay within the comfort zones available to us. Additionally, Eddie is a drug dealer in canon; while not portrayed as seriously as all the body horror-related bits, it does exist and I tend to not bring it up in threads by default as I know it can be a sensitive area for many people.
FIGHTING: Yes; contact me to hash out details. Eddie's not really a brawler but adrenaline can fuel quite a bit. It's not going to make him a good fighter, but holding his own against someone else of average strength for a few minutes is totally possible.
INJURY: Yes; contact me to hash out details. As stated above this guy is not a fighter and injury is extremely possible.
POWERS: Yes; contact me to hash out details. Eddie has none of his own but I'm not opposed to magic/powers/etc. being used on him.
DEATH: No; but would consider for special cases.
HUGGING: Yes; Eddie can be very physically affectionate (hugs, play wrestling, hand on shoulder, etc.).
KISSING: Yes; while he's a flirt there's a possibility that a genuine gesture will actually surprise him.
SEX: Equally comfortable threading it out or fading to black. See below note on shipping partners.
ROMANCE: Absolutely; see below note on shipping partners.
SHIPPING NOTE: Eddie is a flirt and a self-proclaimed freak; he seems to delight in making others simultaneously uncomfortable and at ease. However, while watching characters squirm is great, I'm not comfortable with making other players uncomfortable; if his behavior is hitting a line for you, please let me know. I'm also putting a hard line here on underage characters so let's not get into that situation in the first place.
